Olav Rand Bringa
Senior Adviser in The Ministry of Children and Equality in Norway
Olav Rand Bringa is Senior Adviser in The Ministry of Children and Equality in Norway. He is a certified engineer in planning and has been employed in both private and public enterprises.
He has worked with various aspects of universal design and accessibility for people with disabilities and published several books and articles on these subjects. He has taken special interest in how universal design can be implemented through regional and local planning.
Over the last years Olav Rand Bringa has been involved in developing, implementing and conducting The Norwegian Governments National Action plans for universal design. These plans involve the political responsibilities of most ministries in the Norwegian Government and supports the development of laws and regulations, research, development projects, standardization and a vast number of regional and local projects.
Jaime Casap
Education Evangelist, Google
Jaime Casap is the Education Evangelist at Google. Jaime evangelizes the power and potential of technology and the web as enabling and supporting tools in pursuit of inquiry-based learning models. Jaime collaborates with school systems, educational organizations, and leaders around the world focused on building innovation into our education policies
and practices. He speaks on education, technology, innovation, and generation z, at events around the world.
In addition to his role at Google, Jaime is also the author of “Our First Talk About Poverty” as a way to talk to children about poverty. He serves on a number of boards for organizations focused on education and equity. Jaime teaches a 10th grade communication class at the Phoenix Coding Academy, a computer science public school
he helped launch in Phoenix, and guest lectures at Arizona State University.
He was recently named as the ASU GSV 2018 Innovator of Color and received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from Felician University. You can follow and reach

Dave L. Edyburn
Dave L. Edyburn, Ph.D., is Professor and Associate Dean for Research at the College of Education and Human Performance, University of Central Florida. His research and teaching interests focus on the use of technology to enhance teaching, learning, and performance. He has authored over 175 articles and book chapters on the use of technology in special education. His work represents a variety of contributions to policy, theory, research, and practice. He has secured over $7.4 million US dollars of federal, state, and foundation funding for research, development, personnel preparation, and model demonstration projects. Professionally, he has held national offices in the American Education Research Association, the Council for Exceptional Children, and the International Society of Technology in Education.
Onny Eikhaug
Onny Eikhaug is a Programme Leader at Design and Architecture Norway, responsible for the organisation’s activities in the field of people-centred, inclusive design. She is also responsible for the Centre's government funded Innovation for All programme promoting inclusive design to business and public sector as an effective strategy for innovation. She writes, publishes, and lectures both in Norway and internationally, curates exhibitions and works closely with designers, education, research institutions, industry and government. She is responsible for the book "Innovating with people –The Business of Inclusive Design" - distributed worldwide as a design school curriculum and the platform for the Executive Education in Inclusive Design concept. She is the President of EIDD Design for All Europe and was appointed the Inclusive Design Champion Award by an international jury at the Include conference 2015 at the Royal College of Art in London.
She has a broad experience in international business management; marketing, sales, innovation, product development and design management and holds an MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
Janette Hughes
Janette Hughes is Canada Research Chair, Technology and Pedagogy and Professor
at the Faculty of Education, the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Her
research focuses on production pedagogies, specifically critical making, makerspaces
and inquiry/passion-based education. Hughes has published her research widely, in international journals and has presented over 100 papers at conferences around the
world. She is author of a book for school administrators called The Digital Principal and
is currently writing a book on makerspaces based on the research she has done in collaboration with the Ontario Ministry of Education, working with over 100 teachers and administrators across Ontario to design, develop, implement and evaluate makerspaces
in 20 school districts.
Tian Feng
FAIA, FCSI
Mr. Feng is the vice president of California Architect Board and chief architect at San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District. His long architectural career included teaching, research, urban design, transportation and sustainability. His most important current work are in analyzing performances of buildings and built environment, as well as in developing design and construction standards for complex systems. He published and spoke globally on the subjects of design and adaptation in the past decades. He is currently the chair and chief editor of Transit Universal Design Guidelines committee with American Public Transportation Association. He is a fellow of American Institute of Architects and a follow
of North America’s Construction Specifications Institute. Mr. Feng earned degrees including Bachelor of Engineering in architectural engineering and Master of Building Science from School of Architecture at University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

George Boyle
BSc, BArch, MRIAI, RIBA, ARIAM, MIDI
George is a quixotic, liberal architect and earth mother - in a hat. An honours 1992 UCD graduate, she turned professional RIAI/RIBA in 1997. She established strategic vision architectural practice georgeboyledesigns in 2010. Determined to confront impacts of Ireland's recession head-on, and in of innovation and reform she concurrently founded Fumbally Exchange (FEx), a hub for entrepreneurs and creative professionals collaborating for change. FEx has developed a reputation synonymous with work practice evolution, urban regeneration, creative excellence and transformative thinking: Making Work. Together. FEx has evolved from its early iteration as a “phoenix farm” to become a highly acclaimed cultural institution and philanthropy farm. FEx moved from Dublin’s Liberties in 2013 to the ground-breaking FEx HQ at Dame , D2. Within a year membership swelled to 175 business entities, and FEx is expanding steadily to other locations and sectors nationwide. George received Arthur Guinness Fund’s Social Entrepreneur of the Year award 2011 and Social Entrepreneurs Ireland’s elevator award 2012. She plays cello, piano and harp, is a published columnist, writer and poet and lives on the canal, which may some day be significant.

Tom Collins
Chair of the Governing Bodies of Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB), and Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT)
Professor Tom Collins is currently Chair of the Governing Bodies of Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Institute of Technology Blanchardstown (ITB), and Institute of Technology Tallaght (ITT). All three Institutes will form Ireland’s first Technological University, TU Dublin, from 1st January 2019. TU Dublin will have in excess of 28,000 students, making it Ireland’s largest higher education institution.
Professor Collins is the former Head of Education, Maynooth University from 2006 to 2011 and Dean of Teaching and Learning between 2008 and 2011. He went on to become Emeritus President, (interim), of Maynooth University in 2010, before accepting the role of President of the Royal College of Surgeons, Medical University of Bahrain in 2011. In 2016 he led the development on a national framework of student engagement in Irish higher education institutions on behalf of the Higher Education Authority. He was also the founding Chair of Technological Higher Education Association (THEA), a new representative body for the 14 Institutes of Technology in Ireland launched in 2017.
As a leading thinker and speaker in the areas of lifelong education and citizenship Professor Collins has been an active player in the evolution on Irish education policy at all levels for the past two decades. He was special government advisor in the development and publication of Ireland’s only White Paper on lifelong learning, ‘Learning for Life’ in 2000. Between 2006 and 2012, he was Chair of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA), the statutory advisory body on all curriculum matters in Ireland from birth to eighteen. His scholarship, publications and other professional work throughout his career has focused on the links between educational under achievement and background disadvantage and he has led multiple initiatives in enhancing educational access and participation Ireland.

Wolfgang Lehmann
Wolfgang Lehmann is Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program Chair in the Department of Sociology at Western University. The focus of his work is on the complexity of transitions from education to employment. He is particularly interested in the role of social class and how it relates to inequalities experienced in education and subsequent transitions to work. Supported by a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) grant, he has investigated over ten years the experiences of working-class, first-generation university students from their first year at university to early employment. Findings from this research have been published in Sociology of Education, British Journal of Sociology of Education, British Educational Research Journal, and Sociology. He also conducts research and publishes on young people’s school-work transitions, vocational education, international student mobility, and the first paid employment experiences of children and youth. His book "Choosing to Labour? School-work transitions and social class" was published in 2007 by McGill-Queen's University Press. He also edited the volume Education and Society: Canadian Perspectives, published by Oxford University Press in 2016.

David Terence Puttnam, Baron Puttnam, CBE, is a British film producer and educator.
Lord David Puttnam is the Chair of Atticus Education, an online education company founded in 2012 that delivers audio-visual seminars to students all over the world. In addition to this, he is a member of the House of Lords where he pursues an active role in a variety of areas, from educational and environmental issues to digital skills. He spent thirty years as an independent producer of award-winning films including The Mission, The Killing Fields, Chariots of Fire, Midnight Express, Bugsy Malone and Local Hero. Together these films have won ten Oscars, ten golden globes, twenty-five Baftas and the Palme D'Or at Cannes.
Elizabeth B.-N. Sanders
Liz Sanders is the founder of MakeTools, LLC where she explores new spaces in the emerging design landscapes. As a practitioner, Liz introduced many of the methods being used today to drive design from a human-centered perspective. She has practiced participatory design research within and between all the design disciplines. Liz’s current research focuses on co-design processes for health and wellbeing.
Liz joined the Design Department at The Ohio State University (OSU) as an Associate Professor in 2011 after having worked as a design research consultant in industry since 1981. At OSU she invites students to use co-designing to address the significant social, cultural and environmental challenges we face today. Liz has a Ph.D. in Experimental and Quantitative Psychology and a B.A. in both Psychology and Anthropology.
Edward Steinfeld
Edward Steinfeld is a Distinguished SUNY Professor of Architecture at the University at Buffalo. He received his B. Arch. from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters and Doctorate in Architecture at the University of Michigan. He also received a Certificate in Aging from the Institute of Gerontology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Steinfeld is a registered architect. He has special interests in universal design, accessibility, and design for the lifespan. He founded and still directs the IDeA Center(see http://idea.ap.buffalo.edu).
He has been the Principal Investigator for four cycles of a federally funded center of excellence on universal design and the built environment and co-directs another on accessible public transportation. Dr. Steinfeld is internationally known for his research and publications. He has travelled widely to lecture in many countries and is a frequent consultant to government agencies, building developers and attorneys, and has experience in architectural practice as well.
Jutta Treviranus
Jutta Treviranus is the Director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC) and professor in the faculty of Design at OCAD University in Toronto (http://idrc.ocadu.ca ). Jutta established the IDRC in 1993 as the nexus of a growing global community that proactively works to ensure that our digitally transformed and connected society is designed inclusively. Jutta also heads the Inclusive Design Institute, a multi-university regional centre of expertise (http://inclusivedesign.ca). Jutta founded an innovative graduate program in inclusive design at OCAD University. Jutta co-directs of Raising the Floor International. She leads international multi-partner research networks that have created broadly implemented innovations that support inclusion. She has played a leading role in developing accessibility legislation, standards and specifications internationally (including W3C WAI ATAG, IMS AccessForAll, ISO 24751, and AODA Information and Communication). Jutta’s work has been attributed as the impetus for corporate adoption of more inclusive practices in large enterprise companies such as Microsoft.
